I have been the tatasky subscriber since more than 18 months.In this, once there was problem with set top box within 6 months of purchase. Tatasky people changed the box without any charges. After that once again in this month, the set top box was not giving any audio output. 2nd set top box was 5 months older by then. On enquiry I was told that I will be charged Rs. 125 for service engineer visit. I agreed. Service engineer came and confirmed that its a set top box problem and will exchange it with new one. And he also made it clear that I will charged Rs. 350/- extra apart from 125/-. I straight away said no to him and sent him back. Luckily this is my last month with Tatasky. There is no problem at all with TV. I can here the sound from antenna connection.
I have asked tatasky to take away their belongings once my balance becomes zero.
For new customers I will never recommend any DTH, as they always comes up with set top box problem to make business out of it with their customers.
There should be only cable connection from the dish. Then only there will be no problems.
Please encourage Cable connection and be happy..At least there will not be any extra costs like this. No set top box..no hassles.
I will go for local cable TV operator..Will you ?

I relocated to Bangalore from Gujarat and I wanted to get my Tata Sky reinstalled. I lost 3 bolts on the dish antenna which I informed them while logging the call. They agreed that they will provide the bolts. I reminded the service engineer to bring bolts when he called me back to fix the appointment. Finally he arrived and the first question he asked - "Where are the bolts?". He said - "Hamare pas bolt nahi hai". His solution was that I should purchase a new dish antenna...!!!
