Tata Sky is pathetic in customer care

I must say, Tata Sky services are nothing more than a crap. I got the setup box but I am still waiting for their engineer to come for installation. Repeated conversation for more than one hour per session has not yielded any result. They booked the slots and defaulted on several occasions. Now they are saying that the engineers are being beaten up by the local cable operators (LCO). Question is:- "Is this MY problem?". Is there any law and governance in this country? If somebody beats up the engineer, is it not possible to go to the police and write a complain?? Why dish tv can put their antenna and LCOs has not beaten them as yet? Now, as it stands, my subscription and money is with them and Tata Sky webpage has no link where one can complain, except phone number of their pathetic customer care helpline. Moral of the story is "known devil is better than unknown god". Local cable connection provider may not be providing good services, but we have direct choice of subscription or non-subscription. At Tata Sky you loose this freedom.

Pathatetic service by the customer care representative and even local service centres at Ahmedabad. Totally irresponsible stafff at both the place. Local service technician are making their own money on the name of Tata sky. Local service centres are only for making the money. I had a problem since last 5 days. Lounged a complain to customer care. Comp. no. #SLPWF3V. After 4 days nobody revert for this complain. Try to contact local service enter YOUNG ENGINEERS MR, UMANGBHAI but very poor response from his team. Now thinking TATA SKY IS NOT FOR PLEASURE BUT ITS A TIME KILLER . THINK TO REPLACE IMMEDIATELY.

You can address your complaint to tata sky’s official handle @tatasky. They will arrange for a callback and assist you accordingly. I once faced an issue where I paid for the package amount but my account was de-activated. I tweeted regarding this complaint and tata sky immediately responded to my tweet. All I had to do is submit my subscriber ID. The customer service team instantly gave a callback and my account was activated. I suggest you too should provide your subscriber ID either here or tweet regarding your issue with this complaint link. I am sure they will look into your matter and resolve your issue.

Hi,

No signal issues, so waiting till next day to raised the issue with customer care. At first they asked whether engineer can be informed to visit home which will be cost Rs. 170/- and additional part replacement extra if any. First hesitant but no option to check what is the issue since dish and other parts are in perfect condition and everything working fine till previous day then after few seconds i said ok to customer care executive. Suddenly they said you wont be charged for visit since some reason which i didn't heard properly.(might be less than a year new connection, warranty).

Then engineer came to home and inspect the set box wiring and dish setup. After some changes in dish direction nothing happened in signal still showing zero, He replaced the LNB (signal receiver) and checked for multiple direction, angles, etc nothing happened. Then he called someone, they ask him to remove the dish and replacement in new areas, he did the same but still nothing happened. (Movement is few inches away from old position). This kind of thing went for 2 hours without even getting 1% signal rate,

Finally he hit the dish accidentally and signal start receiving. (there is some dent in dish so it affecting the signal it seems). Then Engineer has asked me to sign the sheet, didn't mention whether any charges is levied etc and there is no mentioning of any service charges or part replacement charges payment etc,

In midnight they charged Rs.270 (Rs.170 for visit and Rs.100 for LNB) so my account went into minus. Now without any option have to pay the amount to watch the TV.

Replacement for LNB newly is done for trial and error to find the issue and engineer is not skilled properly to find the issue as well. So no fault of customer tata sky is charging Rs.270 and they dont have basic duty to inform customer (even sms/email) on the charges before deducting the same.

Be careful before calling this customer care and confirm the engineer before leave the home on the charges for visit/parts clearly.

Very very worst customer service from Tata sky. Even they refund the money, it is cheating customer to core.

I am a Tata Sky subscriber since 2011. Last 1 month I am facing a lot of problem. Repeated message/mails/phone calls, has not yielded any result. False commitment being made everyday that issue would be resolved. No call backs from Call Centre even after repetitive requests from my side. Why I pay for these 1 month when I am getting only No Signal notice. Am using service since around 3 years now and this has made me think if the services should be used anymore.

i have had a similar experiencewith TATASKY KHarghar. i accepted a "all channel" package and mos of the english channels are not provided. whenever i callup the office, i am given all types of fib excuses about some technician who is just about to come over to my place and rectify the problem. this has been going on for about a week now,. The guys at the office speak very rudely and unabashedly blame it on me for not giving them enough time to rectify the problem! 1 week !! not sufficient huh?
do you know any one to whom i can escalate this matter?

TATA SKY - NO CARE

Dear customer care people, Don't you think It's shame on you people who waste your time just by throwing that cosmetic smile as an when costumer approaches you. I have been a customer for past 3 years.As and I had problem with my tata sky connection I approached the costumer car for help.It never happened that they contacted us. We only had to litterly request them to sort out the problem. I am facing the following problems:-

1. Very poor picture quality.
2. Being disconnected many times while running and doesn't come for long time,it comes for a while and goes off for long.
3. contacting customer care is a costly affair because of long waiting period.

Unfortunately i have to say that i have never seen more pathetic service than what Tata Sky personnel have provided. Every time I request a service from Tata Sky, I have to spend money on phone calls, time which could be fruitfully utilized otherwise and in lieu of all this, I only gather a lot more tension. Tata Sky has tested my patience no end.
Needless to say, each one of these incidents narrated above, has resulted in immense mental pressure on me and my family and I do intend to take the legal route now, so that more customers like me are not befooled by such dishonest companies like yours.

I am a Tata Sky since 2007. I must say, Tata Sky services are nothing more than a crap, Everyday I have to follow up waiting "on hold" for 15 minutes or longer. Repeated conversation for more than one hour per session has not yielded any result. False committment being made everyday that issue would be resolved. No call backs from call centre even after repititive requests from my side. No mannerisms in the call centre executive guys (they suggest me to cancel Tata Sky service). Why do i pay for these 4 days when i am not using the service (which you are not providing me)? Am using service since around 3 and half years now and this has made me rethink if the services should be used anymore.

they are right in a way

but this is true case...there engineers have been wildly beaten by the local mafia cablewala. They are adamant that every home that takes DTH is a loss of customer for them. Therefore there is a natural reluctance from the DTH operators to come to Kharghar. Elsewhere the service is not that bad.
