Tata Sky - Contact Details

I was very upset that I could not escalate a problem beyond the typical call center exec at Tatasky. After a lot of surfing, and screaming, have got three numbers to help others in doing so.
Tatasky is literally hiding behind their call center. You will not find any official numbers or email ids of managers on their website, neither on the Tata website, which by the way, lists email ids of managers in other Tata companies. Tata sky is 'silent' on this.

Mental harassment and Cheating customer by deducting money NEW

Hi,

Tatasky is asking to recharge of Rs:100/- for the mistake done by them. My line is disconnected since 24hrs; More over they have committed to resolve this issue in 24hrs (from 28th June 2014) and asking me to wait till 1st July 2014(approx 4 days).

In detail:
I am consumer of Tatasky. on 26th June 2014 there was a technical issue for which I logged complaint. on 27th June 2014 they have resolved issue. It was minor problem and no additional parts required, also my box was under warranty so there was no charges applicable(As per Tatasky call center technician).

On 27th June I got sms stating that my balance amount is -72 and line will get disconnected by 12.00am, on inquiring I came to know that Tatasky has deducted Rs:150/- for visit which they themselves committed that it was their fault and they will reverse the amount in 24hrs.

On 28th June 2014 @ 9.00pm when I called again for activating my line Tatasky senior person on call Mr. Amit said that I need to recharge Rs:100/- to activate immediately, and they are helpless more over he said that it will take 72 hours and my balance will get reversed on 1st July 2014.

This is how these people are cheating consumers. The person who is not literate or doesn't know the things properly will get cheated by such company.

My tata sky connection stopped working suddenly. I submitted a complain at call center but no one showed up for two days. In online chat, their executives don't give any escalation point to talk to. They just apologize for the delay and promise to take up problem at priority and don't act. subscriber id: 1126602620. Wondering how tata sky executives can hide fully behind call center. if any one knows about an escalation point in tata sky, pls let everyone know on this page.

Dear All,





Sorry to say all of you I am very annoyed by your all service team, because when I was facing the problem of No Power in Tata Sky Set Top Box , I just call to your toll free no. on dt. 20th June. Your service provider had change the set top Box but we have facing the problem of DELAY PROGRAM comes and at the same time of replacement of set top box inform to him , but he says "sir it will be ok after few times".



I am sorry to say you my problem is not resolve. Now today when we lodge the complaint against DV54E9M regarding sad problem , your service provide (Shan, Mo. No. 8800697258) had come near my residence and he says on telephonic " Sir it will be re-locate the Tata Sky Dish due to construction of building at my back side of residence and it should be on chargeable basis".



When I put the question your service provider "this construction is started from last 2 to 4 months and we did not facing the any problem before replacement of set up box. We have facing the same problem after replacement the set top box on dated 20th June ".



Then he (Shan) says and rigid " AAP SAHI KAH RAHE HO PER APKO DISH RE-LOCATE KARANA PAREGA HI AAP CHAHE JAHA BAAT KAR LO".



Then I told him you come my residence and we want to discuss your sr. person, then he come my home and told me "JAHA BHI PHONE KARNA HAI KAR LE KOE KUCH NAHI KAREGA ".



Then I asked him please wait, I call to toll free no and discussed with you sr, person Mr. Bhart and raised my all query, he told me " MERI BAAT KARAIA SERVICE PROVIDER (SHAN) SE".



When I go to your service executive , I was really shocked, he did not available at my premises , then we inform to him (Mr. Bharat) your service executive has been gone from my premises without any information. He told me I discuss with his manager and short out your problem.



Now again half & hour I call to your toll free no. and asked him we want to discuss with your sr. Mr Bharat. But sorry to say you no body contact to him and again want to know what is the problem .



Again we have describe all of my problem to your call center and he replied to me your WO no.DV54E9M has been cancelled.



Now I am really again shocked after communication by your Sr. Person and he confirm to me we have short out your problem.



Being a good organization we can't excepted of this type happing and requested you resolve my problem of Tata sky and don't be deducted any daily charges of my re-chargeable amount before the resolve of my problems .

Pathatic Services from tata Sky NEW

Very bad outsourced customer care executives , cant even understand customers. They never raise request on time and then we need to wait for atleast 3 days for any action. but then also they will charge for not using their services.

I had bad time changing My Tv from one room to another as I bought BiG LED and I was very excited to watch that TV in my Bed room.

I called customer care to change the wiring from one room to another on June 12 afternoon. and Its 15th evening nothing has been done. I am watching Movies and videos on TV but cant watch TATA SKY services due to pathetic customer care and services from them.

Its a genuine feedback they have deteriorated the quality of customer care dept. I am using tata sky since 2009 and now in 2014 the experience dealing with them is almost opposite.

Active pack updation without my consent NEW

Very poor response by TATA Sky. Active musis pack was added without my consent. Even I didn't receive any SMS regarding this. When I checked my account online, I came to know about this Active pack. I called the cusotmer care executive (Complaint ID: 1-29699452892)& they accepted to deactivate it. However money is till getting debited. I want a prompt response to my grievance & ask TATA top management to look into such issues for future occurence.

We are not able to watch more than half because after every half hrs its showing blinking then stop setup box automatically. Last week, I made a complaint on phone, but 2 times call Center Executive pickup the phone & put it aside. They did not have a time to talk to the customer. She was busy in her gossips with her friends. I called up the last Sunday dated 01-June-2014 and time 3:45 pm to 4:25 pm, then we complained by online chat complaint Register ID receive WO DIDT26M dated 01/06/2014 15.36, complaint attend in 1 hrs but problem not resolve yet now. As per the Tata Sky Setup Box is not okay & he commit to us as he received the new setup box and he will change it but still no progress. Money is regularly deducted from my A/c. We don't have so much money to waste in Tata because I can't afford. We are facing this problem from the last 2 month. I had this connection on OCT 2013, in between the last seventh month we are seeing the second faulty setup box.

Complaint Against Tatasky Service Staff NEW

I have a complaint against Tata Sky regarding the service provided by you.
From the last six days we are complaining but our work is still not done.
They use to give time but they never came and one service engineer Shaikh we have his number provided by him he come to us and thenhe told us he is not having tools he will come later after that he is not come to us. when we call him on his number provided by him (mobile no : 9867010932) de directly told us he will not come to my place. and you don't call me.
We are still calling your toll free number to do my work . i am getting only one message your staff says i.e. engineer will call you first and then he will visit. They used to give many reasons and never did their work on time.
This is the second time we are facing this problem and we pay yearly in advance.

I have taken 2 New Tata Sky connection against Single ID number 1126026325 one month back. I haven't updated with Karoke pack till date. Due to windy on 30th May , we are unable to view tata-sky and I made complaint online with Tata Sky caller and I got a sms that call shall be addressed on 31st by 11:30 AM. Since no one bother to call back, I made complaint again on 31st May evening and telecaller assured to return call soon and get this rectified soon , however I received SMS again of call will address on 2nd June by 16:40 PM, I got furious with this and called Customer Care again 3 times on 1st June morning but as usual they are disgusting and pathetic and very frustrating talking to them. I have taken tata sky connection because of Market leader and I hope it would be better and I disconnected my Airtel digital TV which I was using for more than 3.5 years and never faced problem any single day during this tenure . I would appreciate and request the highest authority of Tata Sky to take appropriate action against your After Sales Support and non-functioning Call center operations , I don't have any single reason to continue with Tata sky as a customer hence requested to refund my money at earliest and take back your connection.

My tatasky connection has suddenly stopped working since 2nd May, 2014. I have made innumerable calls to the helpline number, and get an assurance from the executives that a technician will call/show up in the next 2 hrs. Nothing has happened though.

Every executive just apologizes for the delay and books the executive for the next slot. In fact, now each executive is claiming that the issue will be taken on a priority basis. Its been more than 48 hours now. If this is how priority issues are treated, I wonder the stake of other issues.

I was once a happy tatasky customer. But it now looks it has lost the battle in providing good cutomer care. We might as well, consider other service providers as I suspect the quality will fall furhter.

This is a mail from an otherwise happy Tata Sky customer. I am using Tata Sky for last one year and happy with the services that I decided to have Tata Sky on the second TV also. That was a mistake. The connection (Tata sky HD plus) got installed on Saturday (April 26, 2014) and is not working since then. The TV has been brought from USA and your Engineer told (after installation) that Tata sky will not work on US TV's. What was the need for installation then? Also I wrote on installation report that Tata sky was not functional on my TV.

I have made several calls to your call centre in last three days, attended several visits from sevice people of Tata Sky but its not working. I have given request for the complete refund but its not done yet.

Request you to look into it urgently.

You can address your complaint to tata sky’s official handle @tatasky. They will arrange for a callback and assist you accordingly. I once faced an issue where I paid for the package amount but my account was de-activated. I tweeted regarding this complaint and tata sky immediately responded to my tweet. All I had to do is submit my subscriber ID. The customer service team instantly gave a callback and my account was activated. I suggest you too should provide your subscriber ID either here or tweet regarding your issue with this complaint link. I am sure they will look into your matter and resolve your issue.

I am a Tata Sky subscriber for last 7 years.Tata sky has given another connection (to another resident of my building) from my dish antenna, although they have charged me the full cost of dish. this is causing problems as signals go missing and i am not able to view TV for long periods. my complaints are falling on deaf ears. i am thinking of changing the DTH service provider

I am using Tata sky connection for the last 2 years.I am facing technical problem last 3 months, & i would have made at least over 30 calls to TataSky about my not being able to watch the TV programs. Couple of times there seniors have given commitments,as technicians will visit, but expressed their helplessness to set right the problem. I am really surplussed at the VERY POOR SERVICE meted out to the public by an organisation with world famous TATA brand. I would suggest you do not sale the connection, you need to update your technical services as well your voice base service too. Not at all happy. i am switching to Videocon.

We trust Tata's name and that is why we took Tata Sky connection. But here I was given active packages without my asking for it and have been charging me since Oct 13 without my knowledge. I recharged my connection without checking the details. Now I want refund of my money.

Secondly they changed the Set top box which takes time for changing the channels and even the information regarding the channels in in very small letters difficult to read. Providers should make the things easier for customers and here they are doing just the opposite.

I am very disappointed with them and am thinking of changing the provider.

Tata sky service person has confirmed, that the assembled Seta box given to me is a problematic one and so he has to changed another assembled seta box.

And now I have been asked to keep the Television ON for ½ hour, as there is again software problem which they are currently trying to fix it and not sure how long it will last ?

As I told you earlier that, this is a fraudulent activities by taking away the original seta box which I paid for and replacing a assembled seta box. This is unacceptable, cheating the customer for money. TATA Group should feel ashamed of it for this sort of activities.

Please let me know your senior authorities for escalation and to keep them informed that I am taking this matter to the appropriate consumer cell and consider my legal alternatives alone with the compensation.

For the last 15 days or thereabouts, I would have made at least over 100 calls to TataSky about my not being able to watch the TV programs. Couple of times some young boys calling themselves as technicians visited but expressed their helplessness to set right the problem. Today I requested for a relocation along with upgradation. I have the connection since 2007. The service guy who is outsourced misbehaved with me and refused to work till I recharged after discontinuing my lunch. When I complained to call centre he shouted at me snatched the job work sheet and left without completing the work. In a few seconds I got a sms that work has been completed. So I have a HD box connection without the promised HD channels ( free for 1 month )despite having made payments. Complaint to call centre has not given results. Tata Sky is completely fraudulent.

Tata Sky DTH Problems

Last one week i am trying to get the issue with new HD reciever boxes, 2 of them bought just a month back rectified. The service delivery is absolutely dismal. The service team has visited , found the problem but could not rectify as they are scared to report the issues to the service center. One of the team members asked for money( bribe) eventhough my connection is one month old and under warranty. The whole thing sucks and is typical of any remote service provider in India. I am looking for remedy by contacting their HO. There is no mention of the management any where in the documents.This is plain cheating !!!. The company MD should be responsible for lack of service delivery.

Ever since Ratan Tata retired, nothing works to the past excellent standard. Tata Photon is rubbish and Tata Sky even worse. Programmes paid and subscribed to removed, Neo Sports, ESPN. False advertising for Star World Premiere HD.Ten Golf advertised and not available. And sadly the response I always get "THIS IS INDIA".

Ever since Ratan Tata retired, nothing works to the past excellent standard. Tata Photon is rubbish and Tata Sky even worse. Programmes paid and subscribed to removed, Neo Sports, ESPN. False advertising for Star World Premiere HD.Ten Golf advertised and not available. And sadly the response I always get "THIS IS INDIA".

I once faced an issue where I paid for the package amount but my account was de-activated. I tweeted regarding this complaint and tata sky immediately responded to my tweet. All I had to do is submit my subscriber ID. The customer service team instantly gave a callback and my account was activated. I suggest you too should provide your subscriber ID either here or tweet regarding your issue with this complaint link. I am sure they will look into your matter and resolve your issue.

I am forwarding this Serious complaint regarding
the way Tata Sky goes about cheating Customers especially ladies living alone.
My daughter had placed a complaint with Tata Sky regarding poor quality of image on some channels. So promptly two technicians arrived with a new
HD settop box and induced her to change her present
normal set top box to a HD Set top box knowing fully well that the TV set in question was a 21" CRT TV set and not a HD compatible set. They then collected Rs.1000/- in cash from her. As I was not in town she could not consult me on the Change.
I and was shocked when I returned and was told that Tata Sky had installed a HD set top box totally incompatible with a CRT Tv.
This the way Tata Sky goes about cheating customers

Tata Sky is getting worse day by day. they delete channels on their whims and fancies. when we pay the fees in advance, its a sort of contract for the channels they promise. when they delete channels as they want, its violation of contract. out of the blue, they deleted Neo Sports (411) only one which showed golf. when i complained, they tried to divert and dont take it seriously, and refused to register a complaint. there comeback was they had added other channels - which nobody cares about. i insisted on getting refunded on prorata basis because they violated contract, but they have ignored my multiple calls so far. they are also sleeping on getting Ten Golf hooked up.

I am a Subscriber for Tatasky from the year 2007, and to my suprise they do not value or care any of thier old / or so called loyal customers anymore.
because of thier website issues , twice my amount for debited while doing online recharge and that too on due date and , the helpdesk are not able to help , they just deactivated my account and on fighting they say that we will give a credit of 48 hrs ,
ARE they treating the customers as beggars, thier website has issues and for that tatasky want thier customers to become beggars and they do mercy on customers.

Thier nodal officers numbers only rings , may be they are busy counting money gained by thier louzy services and that is the reason they dont have time for picking up the phine , than why publish numbers ..too fools consumers....

was using tata sky almost 5 year form now.but from last 2 year I am facing some problem with set top box ,every time I compliant for set top box customer care suggest me to change it .in last 1 year I was change that set top box three time .every time they give me repaired set top box with is not work as my satisfaction .

I want to stick with tata sky but the service I get in last three year is not up to the mark .i was call to customer cair on 12/12/2013 at 3.22pm customer care (priya ) but again the reply is same ,my subscription id is 1035367992 .

Dear sir,

I have taken Tata Sky HD connection yesterday i.e. on 05.12.2013, my Order reference no. is BCK8CP3. I received the message regarding the same at 3:55 pm on 05.12.2013. Subsequently I received message today at 6:58 am that "Your Tata sky BCK8CP3 has been scheduled on 06.12.2013 14:00. I had requested at the customer helpline no. 18604256633 to reschedule the installation time at 10.30 am as I have to leave for office but it was not considered. I also received a call around 11.00 am confirming the time of visit at my Home for installation at 2.00 pm. I returned back from my office just for the installation and due to the lack of co-operation from Tata Sky customer service. But there no person turned up at home at 2.00pm and till this time. I contacted customer care nobody helped me saying that visit time is from 2.00 pm tilll 2.55 pm and they cannot help me as there is seperte department for it. I tried to get the contact no. of the concerned department so that I can get the status of the person visiting at my home, but the customer care person repeated we do not have any number and he cannot register the complaint as well as the time is not elapsed.

I am so sorry to say that the customer service of Tata Sky is Pathetic and hopeless and gives no importance to customers time and its own commitment of providing the service at committed time. I am feeling that it was my wrong decision for selecting the product of tata sky connection.

Once again I reiterate my deepest displeasure about the Service which Tata Sky provides and would like to bring to the notice of the management that it is worthless of Spending so much money in commercials of Tata sky when you cannot manage the company in delivering the desired/expected service to your customers and in ling term it is going to ruin the brand name of Tata.

I was a New Customer to the Tata Sky but i felt a Very Bad Experience within the 2 days.

This is Like Thefting the Amount from Some Others Packet (Theafers).I Recharged and Activated the Package after Consulting with the Customer Care Service they said My Channels will be in Activite till 19th of December.But on the Next day it was Deactivated without ANy Information I was Shocked How is that Possible.

Bad Customer Care Service Called the Customer Service for more than 4times but simply waste of time explained each and Everyone the Same Scnerio but finally No Use of that, They dont have Correct Answers to my Questions.

Get the call Recordings for My case and Analyse What Happended Especially (Bharathi Sr. Executive) I doubt how she was appointed for the Customer Care Service, She doesn't know how to answer to the Customer.

I bought one Tata Sky connection long back in the year 2007 in the name of Monita Sharma. This year in the month of July’2013 I had some tenants at my place who had their own set top box and requested us for add on connection on our primary connection, we agreed on that and then they were using that connection. After 1-2 months they left our place and then we requested the company to remove that add on connection for which the customer care executives said that the request would be taken care of in 24 hrs.

Two days back we came to know that those tenants had submitted a relocation request and the company relocated the add-on connection to some other place (surprisingly relocation was done without removing the dish antenna that was being used with the main connection). Now what the company did was that the relocated address was made as the address of the main connection and my connection which was the main or primary connection was made as secondary and then the company also changed the registered mobile number of my account to the installer’s number or a number given by the tenants.

Then the company disconnected my account 2 days back saying that we are completing your request of disconnecting the secondary connection since yours is a secondary. Till now I was recharching my account with a Balance of 500 Rs everytime and those people who had the other connection were enjoying viewing without even recharging. Surprisingly when my connection got disconnected 2 days my balance was around Rs 570 and today it is around Rs 476, without any active connection where did this amount go.

Now there are so many false statements given by the company in this whole episode and everytime we call customer care we get to hear a new story and till now no body has given us a satisfactory solution. Everytime we are told that our problem would be solved in next 24 hours.
Now What is the explanation to my following points:

* Can a connection be relocated to some other place without the permission from the authorized number?
* Can a connection be relocated only by changing the location of the set top box without removing the dish antenna?
* Are your installers so smart and reliable that whatever they say is considered to be final?
* The main customer is unaware and the secondary consumer gets all the right despite of the call that was sent by us to the customer care?
* When we had refused the relocation then too the secondary connection was relocated?
* The secondary connection was made as the primary connection without any basis and cross checking?
* You people would do whatever your installer says without even verifying the facts?

A Company under the Tata Sons banner should not be so lax in providing support to a harrassed customer.

My father has been a Tata Sky subscriber since the last 7 years. We have a very serious 'Grievance' which we are now reporting to you as a last resort and if this issue is not settled immediately with intervention from the highest order, we shall cancel our existing subscription with Tatasky and go to another DTH provider.

A look at the history of my a/c will enable you to understand the problem.

We had 2 Tata sky set top boxes in the same house . Sometime late last year or at the beginning of this year one of the set top boxes was replaced with a new one. (This was on the secondary connection) In May this year I had requested Tata sky to visit and sort out the problem of connectivity issues in the primary connection. Because of the problems involved in communicating with the helpline staff and getting them to understand the problem, out of sheer exasperation I had discontinued the primary connection and switched to cable in June 2013 and had thereafter requested for a 2 month break in services - Once a year subscription Holiday Offer on the secondary connection which was activated on 5.8.2013. Finally on 5.11.2013 at around 8.30 pm after the very kind efforts of one Mr Dilbar (Mob No 9029610369/8097406609) the secondary box was changed to the primary one and the TV started showing TATASKY programmes after a long saga which has lasted from May 2013 to November 2013.

On 5.6.2013 I had done a recharge with Rs 1000/-
As on 1.7.2013 the balance in the a/c was Rs656/-

Ever since May I had started chasing Tata sky to attend to connectivity problems/issues with primary connection. Being absolutely exasperated with the service, the problems and the treatment meted out to a premier customer
On 5.8.2013 I asked for a vacation discontinuation of service on a/c of the above harassment.

I AM HENCE DEMANDING A REFUND OF RS 700/- (RS 656 AS PER YOUR RECORDS WITH A CHARGE OF RS 44/- TOWARDS PHONE CHARGES SPENT BY ME )
which may be put back into my a/c 1001422714 which requires a re-charge to be done and has been deactivated.

OTHERWISE I AM GOING TO GO TO ANOTHER SERVICE PROVIDER AND TAKE TATASKY TO THE COURTS FOR HARASSMENT AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I subscribed to Tatasky,as they are known to be a reputed business house, so no hanky panky was expected. however I have found that they tend to sqeeze in payed channel without the customers knowledge. this year I discovered I was being charged Rs 45/month for-active games/fun learning I am not sure which one,as there are no children in the house I could not have subscribed to it even by mistake. When I discovered I sent mail helpdesk asking to stop and refund the amount, however I only received an automated reply, but no action was taken. Last montt when I saw the amount was still being cut, I called the customer care centre, but they were unable to help me.I have made a loss of Rs 520.
Since then I have received SMS and Tv reminder s where recharge date has changed from 28-11-13,4-11-13,4-12-13 and finally 12-11-13. It seems mistakes that benefits them they change regularly, but any mistkes that would make a loss they ignore.

WRT my Set box which was not functioning and the same was replaced by a repaired box on August 25th 2013. For this I am debited Rs.350/- Fair enough.
However, this box fails and another one is replaced on October 14th in 49 days I will be once again debited Rs.350/- as we were informed that the warranty is only for a month. This is replaced by yet another repaired piece which is so old and shabby looking and the appearance of it is just pathetic... and this failed in 3 /4 days. Complained around 15th Oct but no solution so far. Only sms keep coming that will attend in 24 hrs.and once their rep comes to checks (4 days back) and says yes it is faulty but will take time as we do not any setboxes to replace with.
Now please tell me that you keep on replacing the box with repaired box because it is your policy, which keeps on failing in just few days of your one month warranty period and as your stupid customer we keep on getting debited by Rs.350/-??? Is this customer service??
I request you to please take note of this mail seriously and find an amicable solution that your customer does not feel cheated.

I have a bad experience with tatasky.

I got a TV from US which runs on 110Volt.
Requested for a new connection.

First day the technician came and checked everything asked to get a NTSC to PAL converter. I got the converter and asked for a second appointment for connection.

On 29th of Sepetember the technician came and I explained everything specially about the voltage required for the TV. Everything connected and we got the Video and there was some disturbance in audio.

The technician tried multiple things, in that process he put the TV plug into the 220V supply. Immoderately I heard a sound from the TV. The technician kept quite as if I didnot notice this sound from TV. After some time he said it is not working wanted to leave. Then I asked him about the sound and to fix it. He called his manager, the manager agreed to fix it. Same day I got a call from Tatasky sales team to inquire if the connection is completed. I explained him the story , he said Tatasky will fix the TV. Since that day I am following. Each time I am calling to the customer care I have to explain the situation they are not recording the information in their record. Finally after explaining many times they recorded the information. Now I am following up with that complaint number. Now each time I call customer care and ask for status, they are saying within 24 hours someone will contact. No one is contacting me since that day. The interesting thing is when I call customer care I am selecting option 1 to speak in english but the customer care people starts talking in hindi. Now imagine how is the quality and service.

Then why software used in TATA SKY MPEG 2 technology cannot work in MPEG4 set top box. The features of softwares used in MPEG 2 technology has more advantage than in softwares used in MPEG4 technology. In MPEG4 one has to operate more buttons of remote where as in MPEG2 technology one has use less buttons of remote. MPEG2 software has more features than in MPEG4 softwares. Set top box of MPEG4 is not safe at all. Where MPEG2 set top box is safe.

So try to provide us good quality set top boxes to all subscribers and download TATA SKY MPEG2 software in TATA SKY MPEG4 set top box.

Why you have not adopted the MPEG4 technology at that time ? We have purchased MPEG2 set top box in year 2008 for Rs. 2400/-. TATA SKY was Numero Uno set top box. It’s look was very good and whole card (sim type) fully entered into to set top box. It was safe. It was in two mode either you can operate by remote or operate from set top box.

Now half portion of card (sim card) enter into the box and half portion is outside the box, which is very unsafe. Any time it can break. There is only one option to handle from remote.

Font size is very small.

You are hereby requested to make set top box of MPEG4 like MPEG2 box, whose look was elegant and safe. What your technical team of R& D is doing ? Now you are changing the box free of cost, you are showing that you are creating obligation on us. It is your wrong conception. Your investment of Rs.1000/- will go in vain. You will loose your existing customers.

In reply you are simply saying that we have sent your suggestion to technical department. What action technical department has taken so far in this regard?

At last we want to say that TATA SKY MPEG 4 technology have created problem to customers

Dear Sir,

I have been a tata sky customer forever having changed from dish tv but unfortunately the level of service I have received in the last few days has been pathetic to say the least. My subscriber id is 1062792971 (Anand Khandelwal) and I have the tatasky HD set top box.

The issue:
I have taken a two year subscription which is due to expire in Feb 2014. As per your commitment any new channel was to be added to my existing channels at no extra cost but the same was not done for Star World Premiere. When I called your customer service at 1842hrs on the 26th of Sep, Srinivas (your rep) gave me some cock and bull story about how this is a different category of channel etc etc (I dont even think he knew what he was talking about) and told me that its different with this channel. After about 20 mns of conversation I told him to connect me to his supervisor upon which he put me on hold and then as per him he tried to get me access to this channel till Feb 2014 but his system didnt allow it. Neither was he able to connect me to the supervisor since the supervisor was 'busy on another call'. Promises were made that I would get a call from someone in half an hour to resolve my issues which I asked him if he was certain since I didnt believe him. He told me how I have nothing to worry about and in half an hour the problem would be sorted. Guess what......... yup, no call... nothing.

Please intervene before I start mailing everyone else and their parents with this problem because I am extremely irritated with this lack of professionalism that has been shown. All I ask for is what was promised to me when I took the two year package, give me any new channel till the end of my term (Feb 2014). If you want to hike up the price after that to a million bucks a month, I dont care but right now I would like this channel activated at no extra cost till the end of my subscription.

Also please let me know if your people understand what half an hour means and if anyone would like to talk to me they can call me on 9971133230.

We are using TATA Sky MPEG2 technology from last 5 years there was no problem in it. It was NUMERO UNO among other broad casters.
Inception of MPEG4 technology has ruined all fraction of tim.

Following are the Pros and Cons of MPEG2 and MPEG4 technology.
MPEG2: It takes fraction of second to start.Font size is very big and good people of all ages can view it clearly and handle it easily.
Viewing banner letters in MPEG2 was not any headache problem.
MPEG4 :It takes lot of time to start.

Font size is very small. No one can able to see with naked eye. Moreover old aged people cannot handle it independently.Viewing banners letters in MPEG4 technology is headache problem and eye problem will start in a short of span of time.

Dear Sir,
We are very much sorry to say that MPEG4 technology has came into existence in year 2006. But other broadcasters have adopted it. You have adopted so late and created problems to customers. Why you have not adopted the MPEG4 technology at that time ? We have purchased MPEG2 set top box in year 2008 for Rs. 2400/-. It was Numero Uno set top box. It’s look was very good and whole card (sim type) fully entered into to set top box. It was safe. It was in two mode either you can operate by remote or operate from set top box.

Now half portion of card (sim card) enter into the box and half portion is outside the box, which is very unsafe. Any time it can break. There is only one option to handle from remote.

Font size is very small.

You are hereby requested to make set top box of MPEG4 like MPEG2 box, whose look was elegant and safe. What your technical team of R& D is doing ? Now you are changing the box free of cost, you are showing that you are creating obligation on us. It is your wrong conception. Your investment of Rs.1000/- will go in vain. You will loose your existing customers.

In reply you are simply saying that we have sent your suggestion to technical department. What action technical department has taken so far in this regard?

At last we want to say that MPEG 4 technology have created problem to customers

We are using TATA Sky MPEG2 technology from last 5 years there was no problem in it. It was NUMERO UNO among other broad casters.
Inception of MPEG4 technology has ruined all fraction of tim.

Following are the Pros and Cons of MPEG2 and MPEG4 technology.
MPEG2: It takes fraction of second to start.Font size is very big and good people of all ages can view it clearly and handle it easily.
Viewing banner letters in MPEG2 was not any headache problem.
MPEG4 :It takes lot of time to start.

Font size is very small. No one can able to see with naked eye. Moreover old aged people cannot handle it independently.Viewing banners letters in MPEG4 technology is headache problem and eye problem will start in a short of span of time.

It is my earnest humble request from my old aged parent’s point of view to rectify the drawbacks of MPEG4 technology at the earliest or otherwise all your free supply of MPEG4 setup box will go in vain. People will switch to other companies. All your Rs. 1000 crore investment will go in water.

Recently the Setup box received with MPEG4,as per my Tatasky old setup box upgrade.


But the the new setup box received are not having the feature which i need.

I connect the Tatasky setupbox to Computer through Tuner Card to view .

The installer just took my Old setupbox & put new one.The new one does not fit into tunercard cables etc & told to bring new cable etc,. And have bear additonal Rupees to make it compatible .Which i don't want to spend since the Old Setupbox was doing fine to me.And this upgrade /downgrade done at Tatasky end not at user level.

And immediately i called the helpline number 18604256633 & assured they will replace my oldsetup box.And explained above stories..they keep on adding to one one executive in Helpline number.

Till now 5 executive came in scene & told to replace but nothing could happen.

Finally,

1)The oldsetup box not received till now.
2) The Installer told Old setup box need validate.But till now have not received.
3)The installer not lifting calls/he told he will visit to replace Oldsetup box but not done.

This is very bad coming again & again at Nodal centre..just for piece work

Tatasky Disgusting and Pathetic Service. Please don't opt for Tata Sky DTH

My subscriber id is 1009029461. I had received SMS on my RMN about the new MPEG 4 settop box version upgradation. After calling up the Call Center, got the information that "If you wont upgrade, you wont see many channels which doesnt support the old set top box". So, i have sent an SMS 'Y'to 56633 for adopting a new set top box MPEG4.

But to my surprise on 06th Sep 2013, a very naïve person “Simson” who introduced himself as the brother of the technician Melvin (working with Tata Sky) came with MPEG4 settop Box. "No customer dealing ethics and interaction".
As their was no power, simply he had installed the box, and took our old MPEG2 box without giving any proper answers to our queries and told us to call Customer Care Number when the power comes for the technical help.
Since the installation of the MEPG4 set top box, several calls were made by us to the call center and the Mobile No.9243023288, 9945858005 as the picture were getting hanged while changing the channels and also the clarity of the picture image was very foggy and some channels was getting interrupted in-between.

I must say the customer support/technician teams are totally un-interested in assisting customers. They promise to attend your complaint within 24 hours but no technician turns up. After making several calls to the call Center, one technician by name Prassana visited with another Set top Box having full Scratch marks on the outer body of the set top box and said the hanging issue and the foogy picture in some channels can not be replaced / rectified with the new box. There is no new box and 80% of Tata Sky Settop Box is of the same kind and immediately left the place.

When we are calling on the Mobile No.9243023288, they do not answer, switch off phones or getting busy tome. Till now no resolution process had done.

The idiotic Lady Floor supervisor, technician and Back end guys interacted were so naïve and monkey headed that they had wasted my entire two days time by not understanding my complaint issues and by given the false promises of replacing the set top box with the new one. We really got fed-up repeating the same complaint issue talking to different people throughout the day and almost everyday calling up the call center executives thinking, it would sort out the complaint and end my conversation but every time I get a response from the call center that somebody from backend will call me in half an hour and sort out the problem. But till now the complaint stands un-resolved. Now I am looking for some other good alternate DTH service.

I am really fed up and upset with the service that you people carries out with the customer complaint. Under these circumstances I have decided to withdraw Tata sky services from 22nd of this month and no more interested in continuing my subscription any more. Pathetic Service and Disgusting people to interact with…. Please don’t opt for Tata sky DTH.

Tata Sky is fraud. My Subscribter id 1001776721 i had issues with the connection in Jul'2013 and no one attended to resolve the issue. There was lot of escalation done but of no help. They gave multiple connections from my disk TV which was not right second there was a balance of more than 2K in my account which they said they cannot refund. Today i got a call from them saving that my connection was still live and the balance was just INR1400 how can this happen since i had already got new connection on 03 Aug for Videocon Dish TV and had requested them to disconnect my connection in July itself.

I logged a request for connection transfer from one room to other, got SMS that work will be done next day but nobody turned up and made atleast 10 calls, got just one response " it will be done" . Till time no calls from Tatasky and my issue is not resolved. Wrote mail at cso@tatasky.com also but of no use.

Realizing Tatasky is th most pathetic service provider and there customer service is worst.

The first service call was a visit, I should say a courtesy visit from your service engineer. He visited my house, asked for the problem, checked the signal with one of the instrument, the signal strength in that was about 6-8. He again checked on TV, told that the TV is better now, I argued, I told nothing had changed. Wrote that on the signing sheet also, He told me that if I had to use the private services of the Tata sky personnel, i refused to that, believing that Tata name is there and there is no need to pay bribe to do things in private sector.
He went keeping the things as they are, which i wrote on the sheet too. But to my surprise i got a message that the complaint is closed. I checked with your online help, gave all the story to her, on which she took another complaint no.
I want to know how the second complaint was closed without visiting my house or finding the facts.

On saturday, 17th, the guy from tata sky called me, and promised the visit on evening. He didnt turn on at all. But to my surprise i got a call today from your 040 location based dept. The lady first told me that the services are not undertook as I refused to pay. I protested against this and told her what happened. She told me that she will call again. She called again and this time told me that my dish is faulty and I need to change the same. I am surprised to hear that. I asked if that is the case why she dint told me that in first time, she was fumbling to find an answer. But somehow told me that she will ask some guy to visit my place again to sort this out.

Then the service engineer called again, and asked me what was the problem, I suggested him to visit and find it out He told me that i need to change my dish there only without even visiting the premises.

I am surprised with the way the events are turned out to be.

I want to know
1. Does your people can ask money from a customer on the pretext of doing work externally as the first guy suggested, Should i say it is bribe in good old PSU days?
2. How come the first case was closed when I had clearly mentioned the status is same.
3. How come the second complaint was closed without even the guy visiting my house.


I clearly felt cheated and want to resolve this asap.

Hope you can resolve the same without taking a bribe.

Bad Exprience and poor response to customer complaints with TataSky.

I am amit kumar having tatasky connection no. 1097198947. Last Friday suddenly i faced issue in my HD box i raised complaint and on behalf tatasky eng came at my home at approx 7:30 PM and replaced my HD box.

After that we realized that picture quality is not good and also the HD box is very old having lot of scratches and condition is also not so good.

Same time i called to him but he did not picked my phone (Might be he was on bike ) after 20 mnts he picked my phone and when i told the same thing to him, he told now i can not provide service because no eng is available and tomorrow we'll check.

Next day was Saturday and no one called me. On Monday i received call from call center and the lady who was on phone took that guy on conn call and he replied that we can not provide new box we always provide replaced box, we only provide new box if any issue came with in 7 day only.

Then i asked him if this is condition then please saw me that norms and condition where it is written than he reverted ok i'll discuss with my boss and call you back.

Now i am waiting from last more than 30 hrs but no any update.

I have total 3 connection of tatasky and i realized when i requested for new connection than tatasky eng reached at home within 30 to 40 mnts but now i as a customer is facing issue than no body is responding.



Customers choose a brand name because he want better service and fair communication but tatasky is loosing this believe.

Request you if tatasky can not provide the satisfactory service to me than please send your eng to take back all setup and revert my amount sothat I can move for next option.

TATA SKY HD PLUS UPGRADATION - Subscriber # 1041567114

I availed the Tata Sky offer to HD plus box recently – on April 18th. I paid cash of 4990 Rs. But my account has not been credited with the 4990 Rs I paid & it shows a negative balance of 4185 Rs. I cannot convert to the HD pack online since it is not adjusting the balance amount from my account & asking me to recharge with 6300 Rs! I complained many times & called the engineer many a times, but am just being taken for a ride…’it will be resolved in 2 hours…on the way to your house…backend is working…all lies & excuses’…nothing happening. Engineer # is +91 9299251535. Also when I call the helpline 040-66006633, I never get proper response. No complaint number is generated. Am always being put on hold. I think there is a Fraud going on. I am told that the local vendor has to recharge & it will be done soon. The local vendor has taken cash & not recharged. The call center people are hand-in-glove with the local vendor & are not escalating the matter. I am promised that the Manager will callback, but get no callback.

I am now thinking that with the leadership change at the Top from Mr. Ratan Tata to Mr. Cyris …the quality levels of service seems to have dropped significantly. Very arrogant service.

No Response On Day ZERO

I had a very high regards for TATAs and their service record from their various other businesses.
When my local cable went for a toss, I decided yesterday to get the TATA SKY.

I enquired with TATA Sky contact (Mr. Hari, 8885002002) and he promised that it will be a one day service and technicians would come and fit it and it will be working on the same day of booking.
Due to this promise I immediately booked online on 12.05.2013 at 5pm), and even paid online as I was available for the rest of the evening for the installation purpose.

I got the Invoice No. – 4902
WO No. – 1-20557543741 scheduled for 13.05.2013 at 11.30am.
As I wanted it the same day, I called up Hari, he promised me that technicians would call me within an hour and I will get the installation same day.

NOBODY CALLED ME OR TURNED UP YESTERDAY.
NOBODY CALLED ME TODAY TILL 11.30AM
WHEN I AM TRYING TO CALL UP TATA SKY AFTER THAT, THERE IS NO RESPONSE FROM ANYONE

I am writing to you after my extreme frustration in dealing with the Tata Sky customer service.

Sir, we have multi point connections (4 Nos) at my residence.

Since last 15 days we are facing repeated problems wherein 2 sets stop receiving all channels. We have been continuously complaining about these problems but to no result.

Every time we complain some technician(?) attends the call, sees the entire connection and says that the problem has been resolved. However, after a couple of hours the problem reappears. The funniest part is that every time a new person is attending the call which makes it such a burden as we have to explain everything once again to a new person and the process continues. We fail to understand why is it that even when a particular problem is not being resolved the technician who had earlier attended the call is not being asked to resolve the problem or at the least he is made to accompany the other technician so that the facts are well known to the team.

Despite the fact that the technicians have assured us time and again that the fix is permanent the problem has been recurring.

Not only that, the executives and their supervisors have been making false promises about resolving the issues but nothing has happened yet.

Even your customer care executives are at times rude and non-responsive to the core who have even asked me to get the connection cancelled and apply for refund of money already paid.

As I write this email, one of your so called technician is trying to resolve the issue but nothing has happened since last couple of hours.

I am extremely sorry to say that if this is the kind of customer service that that Tata Sky is providing you are giving your customers no option but to change service providers.

Couple of supervisors who I have spoken to have NOT been helpful at all are

Please do not pay single paise unless and untill you tata sky activate after installation...
no proper response from dealers, local engineers and managers as well.
Worst senario is the customer service, its taking too long to connect the call, agents they dont repond properly to customers.. they dont have excalation matrix to compliant or report which we fight for our needs..
IF CEO or COO or any higer level management whom so ever... you need to cultivate your TATA services in very effecitve manaer...
As a higher position hope they know how to understand customer basic needs..

Since 5 days I'm not getting signal and I have complained around 12-15 times on customer care but nobody has visited my place till now. every time they will raise one work order and by evening before doing anything they close it stating that work is completed. I'm fed up with the services of tata sky. I had never ever expected this from tata group.... customer service is worst .... they even don't bother to listen what we want to tell... in between they will disconnect our phone.... Have been trying over last week to get the connection relocated but the assurances have been just lies. The local agent supposed to do the work are lazy & unprofessional & hey update lies in the system. Even the call Center people try to be courteous but have no control whatsoever. Ask them to patch them to some senior either they disconnect or put you on waiting for more than 10 mins.

I get my Tata Sky installed 4 days back.On very next day its signals start creating problem.I called the dealer who did the installation atleast 20 times and all the time he assured me his repersentative is coming in ten minutes,but i just wasted my two precious days and after two days, one person came and took away Set Top Box for repairing.And still after two days they are not replying when i ll get it repaired back.Even three times i did complaint to so called customer care number but all in vain.
Consumers i request you all,lets file complaint in consumer court so that such poor services must get proper treatment.
Also name of Tatas is getting damaged badly by this worst company.

I am a tatasky customer from past 2.3 years. My tatasky id is 1058820547. On 25th December 2012, I upgraded my tatasky to HD box online by phone banking. I opted offer of Rs 2749 in which tatasky executive assured me that I will get following services free:

1. + 2 months Grand Sports Pack
2. + 2 months HD Access Fee
3. + 4 Showcase movies

Today is 10th Jan 2013. I havent got these free services. I lodged complaint also with complaint id (1-18183982920). There is no response from tatasky. I request everybody to not go for these online fake offers by tatasky. Tatasky is cheating us.

I have called customer care numbers seberal times in the last few days for my complaint and the standard answer is " we will get back to you " and no body comes back with a solution !

I have been trying to get the contact details of senior mangement but they are not listed anywhere

If I write to the nodal officer , I get an automated reply & no further action ! It's really painful .

i have been already a tata sky subscriber for the last three three, recently i have installed a secondary connection to my second LCD. the day when i installed the connection, the main connection and the second connection stopped providing services, i have complained on help lines numbers nearly twenty times but they put a deaf ear to my request they dont bother about the complains of their customer, their motive is to get money which they get at the time of installation then they dont care about the problem faced by their custumer they make false promises and commitment that they will attend complaints but inspite of requests, messages, phone calls they dont come they harass their customer by this way. they dont even provide their head office address where we can go personally they avoid their customer.

I have logged a complaint for "no signal" on 1st Nov 2012 but till now no one has turned up, they even not bothered to call me at least. I have called their call center no atleast 10 times, they keep on telling "you will get a call in 2 hours to resolve the issue". But nothing happened so far. I have never seen this kind of ridiculous customer care behaviour and service.

I have been contacting Tata SKY Since last 04.04.2012 for relocation,the call center picks up the call and asuures that there engineer will come in next 2-3 hrs and also would give you a call before coming.We waited??? call came from tata sky engineers but physically nobody turned up.on wednesday one engineer came forward and rellocated our connection but didnt check the connection and fled away saying office will be closed.I have called tata sky more than 10 times but nobody has turned up for the complaint nor anybody visited my House.Dear friends tata sky do'nt come forward and customer like us are facing problem...please dont ever take connection of Tata SKY EVER.

1st Mail :

Since last 15-20 days I am struggling to view television due to
unavailability of Tata Sky service.

• After all up & down we registered 1st complaint on 1st March stating
that picture is not coming on TV & then next day your engineer came &
done some changes in Disc & told 200 rupees would be deducted from
your account.
• Next day again we faced the same problem & we waited for few days
and finally we again raised a complaint on 8th March & your engineer
came next day 7:00pm & replaced set-up box but it worked only 10mins
then engineer said I will come tomorrow & provide new set-up box. Then
we spoke to senior person (Gurmeet) in support team & he said you will
be charged total 350 rupees & he has taken the ownership to provide
good service.
• But next day engineer didn't came & we called up helpline & they
arrange an engineer @ 3:00pm. He again replaced the set-up box & it
worked for 5-6 hours & again we are facing the same problem.

I don't know what to do. We are not able to view television then also
every day you are deducting money from our account.

Please look in to it on high priority & revert all the charges &
balance which you have deducted for last 20 days.

I am a Tatasky HD Settop box user. I have been facing some issue with Audio & video since October 2011 and made several calls to the call center but i got nothing apart from their assurance which was useless.
Even after 7-8 visits of Tatasky executives they were not successfull to resolve the compaint.
Really worst service.

Please dont get trapped in their rosy advertisment, else your life will really be "Zinga lala"

The customer support of tata sky is a sham. As they are just talk and no information. Parrots who repeat from a script, do not hear what the customer is stating and so can't grasp the problem. They also charge for relocation and the wire used without informing about it, and then have the nerve to be rude.
Am trying to take the matter up with higher offecials, lets see how that works out. But a suggestion to future customers.....don't go for it.

I have a tata sky from almost last 5 years when no one used to spend
so much or trust DTH technology. Even my family had a thought before
going for this technology, but when we heard that SKY is collaborating
with TATA, we didnt had a single doubt about it. And there we go, we
started using tata sky from Jan'11.

Every time we have to get it recharged, we take an year's subscription
because we always knew whenever TATA is gonna come up with a new plan,
they will keep in mind their existing customers. And tata has always
delivered more than I could have expected. I still remember the day I
came from my hostel & IPL match was about to start in 5mins, I called
the tata sky customer care & guess what I didnt missed a single ball.
HATTS OFF for those OLD DAYS.

But now when this new technology HD is launched, I expected the same
thing, so without even looking for the offers I bought a new HD TV &
when I went to market to switch my tata sky to the latest one I was
shocked. The price offered by agent was 2400rs & 300rs will be reduced
for old setup box. I thought I am very customer of tata sky & if I
will contact them directly they will have something for a TRUE & OLD
CUSTOMER, to my disappointment the price quoted by Tata sky was higher
than that agent quoted to me 2600rs & 300rs same deductions. Is this
how tata is gonna treat their old customers.

If this is happening now I wonder what will happen when Ratan Tata
will leave. I even used tata broadband & now I am using a photon plus
& trust me I didnt even had a second thought when I was looking for a
mobile broadband connection.

I am having the signal problem from last 10 days I am not able to watch channels. It says "no signals", called up so many time, had to argue with customer care and had some ugly discussion with floor supervisor. looks like they are getting money not to work and cheat the customers. It looks like corruption is in private sector compare to public sector. Looks like we will have to take help from ANNA. Get well soon TATASKY otherwise it will impact you very badly to you guys. start working; days are gone now. Sleeping will not help.

On 20.06.2011 I requested Tata Sky for re-location of my connection. I was following up the matter every day conteniously for 10 days both by mail and call to customer care centre but in vain. Ultimately I had to get the job done privately but shamelessly Tata Sky charged me for the job they had not attended.
Top have consistancy in the performance I am experiencing the same delay for my complaint of DG com not receiving signals since 31.08.2011. Although I am following up the matter since last 4 days getting only assurance. I think I have made mistake in renewing my Tata Sky connection by paying yearly subscription.

My TATA Sky connection is not functioning since last five days.

1.I registed a complaint on 28th and the executive said, someone will visit in next 24 hours.
2. I called on29th atabout 5:30 PM, executive said someone will come between 6-7 PM.

3. Called again at 7:30 PM on 29th. Came to know that someone will be coming in next 24 hour

4. Called on 30th Aug, executive said another 24/48 hour. when I said I am getting frusted, Customer Care Executive offered me to cancel my service.I informed then, if you can not serve please cancel and refund my full money back. No reply.

5. Logged a ticket on Tata Sky saying the same as point 4 above, no reply.

6. Called Tata Sky executive on 1st September, got to know that some senior executive will call me in 30 mins, but no reply yet.

Any suggestion how to deal with these people ? Eiter I want my problem to be rectified or a communication saying they can not rectify and then I can switch to different provider ?

You show the name of a movie on Malayalam channels like Asianet, Surya etc., but instead the movie broadcast is totally different!

What is happening ?

What is happening ?

TATA SKY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IN JAMSHEDPUR

It is information for, those are going to buy TATA SKY DTH connection at Jamshedpur.

I have a very bad experience regarding customer service of TATA SKY and it was really very poor in Jamshedpur.

Since last four days DIGICOM box is not working and customer care center are giving wrong in formations. They are telling that, our engineer will come at morning and those mornings never come.

So I decided to switch to other.

Endless wait for my HD Set top box

This is so unreal! on 26th March 2011 I paid for my HD set top box - (btw, my 4th set top box at home)with firm assurance from the sales guy that my connection will be up before the Cricket Word Cup finals on 2nd April - at the latest! I wish i could lay my hands on him.

After 10 phone calls in past 36 hrs, begging pleading all involved, today April 2nd when World Cup final starts in couple of hours, I am still waiting to get a so called "call-back" from TataSky. This is height of poor customer service, especially when your customer is more than 5 years old.

I think its time for customers like me to switch DTH services. If someone at Tatasky is reading this feedback they can call me at 9810500274.

I had the worst experience in my life by going for new TATA SKY HD connection in Bangalore. I will advise Aamir Khan to review his endorsement for TATA SKY.

I was surprised to see the same matching experience many others had with TATA SKY connection. Had i seen the reviews earlier I would never have approached these guys.

I approached through phone for a new connection on 6th March and I was told that it will take 48 hours, after completion of 48 hrs, when I contacted them they said it will take 72hrs, then I waited for that to complete. After 72hrs when I contacted they said, there is some shortage in stock and said to wait for 48 hours to give me an update from the concerned department. Then, I followed up again next day and they said 48hrs not completed and wait till that time and when that time was over I called up again and they said it will be connected the next day, they have given the material to engineer and he will come and install it the next day (Sunday 13th March). I contacted them again and got the information that between 4 and 5 pm it will be installed today. After 5pm when I contacted these guys said that it will take another 2 days. I was wondering how could these guys make such false promises, so where had the material gone if it was given to the service engineer to install at my premises, did he install it somewhere else or what,how dare these guys are making such false promises. I asked for the numbers for escalation, but no number was given, finally I saw the reviews here and I wanted to share my plight. I called, them again and said I don't want such sort of connections. Also, I am trying to escalate it to higher levels somehow.

Tata sky has the most atrocious service centres especially the one at Bangalore. Several times I have found it unresponsive when the Mumbai and Chennai centres are awake and actually reply to telephone calls. The Bangalore centre obviously doesn't believe in 24 hour service and are snoozing till 8 or 9 am every morning. I had been informed by the service centre for Bangalore that I would get my cable installation in 72 hours when I called them early on 26th February and that someone would call me within 24 hours. After 48 hours when nobody called me I called them again on 28th morning and was assured that somebody would call me within 2 to 4 hours. Well nobody called so I again called them on 1st March morning. I was told that they were only expected to instal the connection within 72 working hours and that I would definitely (!) get a call by the afternoon. Same story, no call! So I call again on March 1st afternoon and am assured that I will get a call immediately. No call again and I call on 2nd March morning. Etc. etc. So far I have made 7 calls and nobody has the grace to call back and as for 72 hours of response oh boy I'll be lucky if these "gentlemen" respond by the next century. tatasky has really tarnished the tata name particularly in Bangalore. I'm burning their card and shifting immediately to other more responsive cable operators

After several complaints on really bad quality of reception... "No signal" on most of the channels even when it is not raining....finally the technical team called up to confirm the time visit. But they didn't turn up at the scheduled time and despite several calls to their call centre, no one turned up all day.

Technicians turn up the next day, without the required equipment and go back with out resolving the problem. There is no response thereafter from the call centre or any of their executives despite several calls and e-mails.

After paying Rs.6000 for an annual pack... i'm watching a blank screen. Its the worst customer service centre i ever came across. Would like to cancel my subscription if it is possible

i was registered my new tata sky connection on november 20 2010 thru phone and my coupon number is 6092684.i got a confirmation message from customer care that with in 4 hrs of time tata sky team will contact but for more than 2days no body contacted and i again called to customer care and they provided the reference id and informed me with in 3days, installation will be done but after that no body contacted even after 1 week.again i called customer care again got the same information . till 30th i waited nobody contacted so i fed up and tared the coupons from tata sky and i purchased new airtel dth ,within 30 minutes i got the best service.

From last 10 days i lodged my complaint almost 20 times at your mail, call centre just to change the location of dish antenna in nearby building as I shifted to new house.

Every day I receive a call but no action. I have never seen in my life such a USELESS, PATHETIC, UNPROFESSIONAL Service provider that too from a Group like TATA.

People without ears & eyes are sitting & just killing time without any heed on customer request.

Kuch to Sharam karo besharmo, ab to jaag jao.

I want my total recharge money back from the date of my 1st complaint and bugger "apne deebe utha ke le jao" I will shift to some other DTH service provider.

TATA SKY is the Most Third Class company of TATA Group. I have lost total faith in this group.

Worst Cutomer care services

Hi,

We had taken a new Tata Sky connection on 31st Oct 2010 over the phone. We paid through credit crd for New connection and the package we were interested in. We got the sms confirming the activation of services and next day installation was done at our address in New Delhi.

After 3 days of installation we got a message on screen that we should recharge our account immeditely to continue the services. We immeditely called up Cust care for the same gave him all the details of payment made for Annual subscription. The exec. gave us the confirmation that there is some error and my services will be activate soon. Now today is the 6th day and after following up with cust care exec. muliple times in a day, our services are still deactivated and nobody sesm to take any corrective action to rectify the problem.

I have no clue where i can escalate this since they dont provide any number to register complaint. If any one has any contact details which can be of our help please send it on sonalsitm@gmail.com

No toll free number for Tata Sky complaint.
If one by luck get a chance to get access to contact to a tata sky rep after a long musical wait, first thing the Tata sky rep is . he/she will ask you to put u on hold. holdin period may be for ever till u loose your ptience and disconnect.

I was put on hold for about 11 minutes by the rep at about 2100 hours on 09/9/10 on tele no:017266006633 by a customer care rep after i listed to all computerised music and altimately I disconnected my phone when there was no response even after 10 minutes of waiting.
The rep did not even disclose his identity. If one subcribe for any aditional pack in this service, it is near to impossible to get those packs dropped for a normal person. As soon as they get some money in one's account they start all packs whichever were subscribed in past. A person has to track his account on day to day basis to get the unwanted packs dropped. What a business, hats off to Tata's.
This is what is called the ethical business practice.

On watching message on my TV, I had sent NS to 56633. My Ajay came last week. He was told that during heavy rain I receive no signal. He has gone on tarrace and changed the camera. He said, "there will not be any problem now". I had contacted your helpline and spoken to Mr. Ketan and made a complain. I still am facing same problem of "no signal" during heavy rain.After speaking with Ms Pratima on 24.8.2010, I came to know that during heavy rain the signal is disturbed and nothing can be done for that. Then I understood that there was no problem with my camera. Simply it was changed and I am charged Rs.350/-, because I had no problem with signal quality except during heavy rain. Then why my camera was changed ? I request tatasky authorities to look into the matter and my old camera is replaced which is lying with me and refund Rs.350/- to my credit immediately.

I am so upset with the Tatasky call center service. Last time I called they put me on hold for 37mins and then I hung up... Stupid person could not solve my query nor connect me to any senior.
My series link option does not work no longer.
And the contact details/alert screen does not come so I cant get to their contact no's.
On the webpage they dont have any email addresses nor any management reference.

I have spoken and been assured repeatedly by Tata Sky Bangalore offices ( 080-66233000) and also in Chennai.

This is appalling and I find no contacts to escalate this issue to.

I filled out a form on the Tata Sky site indicating my interest in knowing more about Tata Sky + since I am already a Tata sky customer. I promptly got a call from the call center (was a 040 landline number). This person called Revathi called me up repeatedly until I made up my mind about getting the new set top box and until i actually made payment of the amount of five thousand through credit card on a six month EMI basis. This was on Monday 12 October 2009. I was assured that I would receive a confirmation the next day (13th) and installation would be done on the day after (14th).

After that there was complete silence from the Tata Sky people. No confirmation, no call, no installation. I called up repeatedly spending considerable amount of time and money (their help line is not free), each time i was given assurances that the problem would be sorted out, that delivery would be made the next day etc. Yesterday (15th) I spoke with someone called Amit at the Mohali office who claimed to be a 'senior' executive and who said my complaint was registered, that I would get a call back in an hour or two and that the digicomp would be delivered the next day. Again, no response whatsoever.

Again I notice they have switched over to the same pattern where one memo game is there the rest are contests. Cubix game is continued for the last one month but interesting games have been removed. On phone I was asked to give my feedback. What is the point in giving feedback if the TATA is going to do whatever is liked by them. They just do not stick to their new pattern and roll on to the same old boring pattern

i am satisfied for better picture quality & service ,but after having more than 150 channels
there isn't any channels showing old movies say like zee classic
please do the needful at the earliest

I don't know why tata sky hires people who can neither understand hindi nor basic english... when u try n explain ur package details to them, they repeat it so many times to u for confirmation that u start worrying if there is some problem in the pack... Half the time u have to be searching for a number to call them, which is not available on their website... n luckily if u get to have a number, a long advertisement is all that u get. Many a times I've heard the ad for more than 15 mins and then the call gets disconnected. The last time I called in to recharge my account, the lady who answered the call, took the call and then said nothing... after long when I said hello, she says... just 2 mins ok... I held on to the call... again the same response from her... Its really frustrating. I hope the Tata Sky team takes all this to their notice n I really hope their calls are recorded n heard by someone who can help the situation

Non-delivery of Tata Sky Digicomp etc. purchased online

On Nov.10, 2008 evening I visited the www. tatasky.com site and saw the foloowing Festive Offer (within quotes below):
"Tata Sky digicomp + Standard installation + 400 days subscription to Super Saver Pack OR 365 days subscription to South Jumbo Pack - Rs.3999/- only.
And if you buy online using your credit card, enjoy further savings of Rs.300 by getting :
4 months free subscription to Lifestyle Gold Pack + 4 months free subscription to Education Gold Pack."

Immediately, I went for online purchase by using my Credit Card and selecting "Digicomp+Std. Installation+400 days subscription to Super Saver Pack."

In this process I provided my complete postal address at Visakhapatnam and mobile no.(098665-16424)and email id (dashguptapartha@yahoo.com)and Rs.3999/- got debited to my Credit Card.

At the end following message appeared on the computer screen (in quotes):

"Your transaction was successful.
Consider the below mentioned transaction id as SR number for future reference.
Tata Sky Transaction ID : DS1011081000006491
BillDesk Transaction ID : MCMT0811276466
Ban Transaction ID : 525474"

After that, in next 9 days (till this 19.11.08) the Delivery of the Items have not been made to my address. Every time I call the Tata Sky Helpline in Hyderabad (nos. 1-860-4256633 or 040-66006633), either the person at other end is unable to find out my order from above referred Transaction ID / SR no. OR even if one is able to trace it out, it is told to me that delivery will take place shortly. Even none of them can tell when the item will be couriered or if I wish to send a written communication on this, what are the Tata Sky address or email id. Even one lady told me I need to log in to the site and order it again without understanding that, if I order again, it will be a fresh order and I shall have to pay again.

Can anybody in Tata Sky, help me in getting the early delivery and convey the same to the given email id?

Double Trouble - Tata Sky call center

Man !! it takes hell lot of time to get connected to a person at the call center desk. Whats more annoying is some "Active Whizkid..." promotional tape keeps hitting your ears repeatedly until you go mad.
