This is my very honest and sincerely unbiased opinion. After I installing Dishtv it has become a real pain in my neck.
Reason 1 : The call centre whom you call are very irresponsible. Dishtv claims they will call back but they earn at the cost of our SMSs. their call centre personnels are not technically sound and they give any wierd soloutions or answers without even knowing that now the customers are more technically sound and educated.
I have already paid one year subsription but I dont want the pain to be carried any further hence I have switched to another user.
I would suggest make a proper study and then go for the service provider.

I complained to customer care. for dish TV there are different guys, one will be dealer, one will be STB distributor and one will be providing dish and installation. in Tamilnadu, not only by me, the whole network is a scrap and everybody is firing. There is a wordly clash between all the three and seems no one came for conclusion. finally a top brass from dish tv intervened the matter and go for activation with myself paying few more bucks.

First that might be the case with you, as i am using dishtv for more than two years and till now havn't face or listen such type of problem.
Its completely a fault from dealer side because after your full payment they can not ask for any other installation charges as installation charges are already included in the payment you made initially, and if this is the case, i would suggest you to register a complaint against your dealer at dishtv customer care and hope your problem will be resolved soon.
